arthikumaran, good to see your interview being done within approx 7 weeks of filing; curious to know how many days prior to 5 yr anniv u sent ur app in.

Thanks

quick_check - I filed my n400 a week after i completed my 5 yr period.

Thanks

arthikumaran, so if I haven't calculated wrong, you had your interview before the 5 yr anniv date, right?

So I am assuming majority of interview officers dont have any issue with that as long as oath is after 5 yr anniv.

Kumaran,

Thanks for the information. How was your interview? Do you remember what
questions they asked you?

Any details will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

R2I2005 -- Interview went fine and was very straightforward, looks like recently 2 IO's handle each case, because i was interviewed for civics/english test by an IO officer and later waited for 30 minutes and another IO called for interview (application review). My wife had interview next day and she too went through the same process and the questions were different for both of us but they were from the 100 questions (New Test). Here is what i remember ..

1. Name the ocean in the west coast
2. Name of national anthem
3. How old u should be to vote
4. why does the flag have 13 stripes
5. 2 rights in declaration of independence
6. ??

Wish u good luck and keep us posted on ur experience and oath letter status ....

Thanks

Kumaran,

Thanks for your reply. Check out the Boston-timeline thread. There are a couple there
that were interviewed in Manchester, NH and I believe it took them 1-3 months to get
their Oaths complete.

Goodluck!

We just completed our interview in Manchester this morning. All went well. My wife was
scheduled to interview at 9.50am and I was on was 11.05am. The immigration officer
was well organized and very cordial. I was called in a little late at 11.15 here are the steps the transpired:
1. I was asked to take a oath to tell the truth
2. Application was reviewed, went through almost all questions
3. Asked to read and write a sentence in English
4. Was asked 5 questions
Rights in first amendment, who steps in when President is not available,
head of executive branch, Amendment to voting rights & threat during cold war
5. He signed a form and informed me that I had passed the interview and
recommends me for Citizenship
6. Was asked to wait while superior checks his recommendation
7. Superior came out in 5 mins and said all was well with my application and
that I should wait for my Oath letter.
8. That's it all done in 15-20 mins

Thanks to all here for their assistance,
