5 years on H1 -> F1 and want to go back on H1

I had an H1-B visa for 5 years. It's been 12 months since I quit my job. I currently have a F1 visa since I'm taking a master degree.

If a company wants to hire me, and transfer my F1 visa to an H1-B, would it be a problem since the 6 years for my H1-B are over and I didn't leave the U.S. because of my studies?

My classes are in the evening and most of the students have a full time job. I need a job to continue paying my tuition.

Thanks.

it depends on how long you were on H1 before your status has changed to F1. you can get H1 only for 6 years in total.

H1 clock is reset only if you are out of the US more than a year. Since you have been in the US, your H1 clock is just stopped during F1 time. (not reset)
