5 Questions before submitting case back to KCC

Hello,

In June I have received the DV-2010 selectees letter, I have made everything ready to be sent back to KCC now, except some simple and potentially obvious questions, but I'd just like to know for sure...

1. Do children below 18 need to apply for an SSN as well?

2. In DS-230 form, question 3 -
3. Full name in native alphabet (If roman letters not used)
I don't quite understand the "Roman letters not used" statement - does that need to be the alphabet of the country where you live now or the country where you were born and claimed eligibility on (but my children were born where I live now - their native alphabet still is the one I input for myself right?)?

3. The question in DS-230 question 22 lower part -
22. In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States?
Is a lot of consideration given to the answer to this question - what If I am not sure, then how is it best to write it? Perhaps I just should input the occupation in which I worked most time from those I list just above this one in question 22?

4. If I simply don't have answer to a certain question since I don't remember and I can't write N/A since it is important like a person's address etc..., should I simply write I don't remember or just input for example only the country if I don't remember the exact city, street, number, etc...?

5. Also I'd just like to make sure - when I send my case with everything filled up back to KCC for evaluation of my qualification for an interview and the issuance of an interview date - I send only the DS-230 forms for all family members, the DSP-122, one photograph for each family member, and the barcode sheet - and that's it right? I'm just asking since I saw many people going through checklists on this forum and others, checklists which included documents such as marriage certificates, birth certificates, military and criminal records - I think those were for different visas and not the DV visa, but I got kind of confused - from what I read, all those certificates and records I need to bring just to the interview, is that correct?

Thank you in advance for any useful information!

1 ) I think so ...because my daughter is a US citizen and she had her social security when she was born..

2 ) You will write your name as it is in your native language...If there are some letters that don't exist in English alphabet , you will write your name with those letters..It means if your native language is with Roman letters do not write with it..

3 ) I wrote my current occupation ...It is better to write something which you have experience I think..Also the occuptaion which you had your university education can be a nice option if your current occupation is different from that..That doesn't matter too much I think..

4 ) I think N/A is better..Once I called KCC. I told them that I live in US and there may be a possibility that I can move to another place later on..So I asked them what I should write in this situation? And they replied as N/A...They said you can inform us later about your address which you want us to send your green card..

5 ) Yes, you are right..You will send DS 230 for each of the family members with one photo attached on it...And dS 122 FORM for the petitioner only..And don not forget the barcode sheet..You and the other family members shouldn't sign ds 230 part 2 ...You will sign it at the consulate when the officer tells you..The other documents will be needed for the interview part...

I just told you what I have learned in the last three weeks..If you are not sure about anything , you can call KCC..They are helping alot and so kind..

Thank you for the info, in question 2 I meant rather wether they mean native language of where I live now or of the country where I was born since it is diferent?
And in question four I wasn't talking abotu teh address to where they can send the GC, I meant - if I simply don't remember something, should I write that I don't remember rather than N/A which might suggest that this particular info doesn't exist at all which isn't neccessarily correct, since I simply don't remember and don't have any way to find out at this time?

Thank alot!

Where you live is not important. You have your birth certificate issued with your name in the national language of your place of birth. If this language uses non-Roman alphabet (Hebrew, Cyrillic, Arabic, you name it...), spell your name in this alphabet.

Well, you can write that you do not remember, but this answer will hardly make anybody satisfied. You do not remember? Ask somebody who remembers! Do you think they will be willing to grant a status of a LPR to a person who cannot find out where he lived a few years back?

On another note, I did not send this form to KCC at all, and it worked for me. But I did AOS, not sure if you plan to go the same way.

I understood your question as an address. I think it is not too good to write ' i don't remember' in a formal form. i would prefer n/a. but if you are not sure you can call kcc. they are very helpfull..

Alright, thanks alot for the info guys... By the way masematn, I didn't say I don't remember where I lived before, but anyway thanks for the insights...

I understand that AOS is Affidavit of Support - could you please tell me in short what this is all about if you already mentioned that and been thru it, that would be appreciated.

Lopol, you said "I don't remember the exact city, street, number, etc..." I do not think you will be ever asked about other people, it is your address which you need to know.

AOS stands for Adjustment of Status, and is an alternative for CP (Consular Processing). AOS process is widely discussed on this forum in particular, and on the web in general. Good luck!
