485approved,140 still pending...

I-140 Status:

Application Type: I140, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER

Current Status: Case received and pending.

485 Status

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

I am happy that my 485 case is approved , but my i-140 is still pending? any similar cases like this.

My details:

Labor substitution, EB2 , PD Dec 2004, INDIA, Applied in AUg 2007 , RFE Jul 2008, RFE RD : Aug 2008, 485 Approved Aug 2008.

1) Any reasonable explanations why my 140 is not approved?

2) What are the next steps in the approval pipeline .( Card production ? )

3) I was lucky enough to file my wife's application few days before replying to my 485 RFE and we have her case number and RD date which is a week behind my case approval date.

What happens to her status ? Currently she is on H4 and I think is not valid anymore Since my 485 is approved.

I know her status is not in trouble because her case recieved date is before my case approval date.

But any precautions that I should take?

Also her 485 application along with EAD /AP has been mailed to TSC during Aug first week. Whats the usual processing time line for AP/EAD.

Am i being very optimisitc that her Dependent GC will be approved once they open her EAD/AP file to process?
