RUMOR: 485 processing time - 7 months now..

Till now in every liason meeting in the last six months, CSC promised that processing time will be brought to 1 year. On April 4, during the latest meeting, they are saying it will be reduced to 7 months!

Pure BS, wake me up when you actually see backlogs down to 2 years let alone 1 year or 6-7 months. Its been 19 months and counting as far as I am concerned, if the backlogs is reduced to 2 years, the I should be approved within the next 5 months, otherwise the time line is open to all speculation!

AILA conflict of interest

AILA members are immigration lawyers.

They will fight for any measure that reduces immigration influx
As less influx of immigrants implies less immigration billable hours.

But the lenghiness of the immigration process is another ballgame. The longer the process, more are the billable hours.
