Hello,

I have a ques regarding 485 eligibilty
My parents are here in US on a visit visa for 6 months .I'm a USC .I want to file for my parents immigration ASAP. I was going thru the possible options and one of them CP and other to file I 130 and 485 simultaneously so that they won't have to leave .

I was going thru the form I 485 it says to submit copies of doccuments proving eligibilty to file 485.

I need to know what sort of a doccument i can use to fullfill this criteria. My parents are here on a visit visa and ill be filing 130 /485 together.

is there any one who can ans my question plz.
I'll be really thakfull for your valuable in put.

thanks.

The only two forms that are needed to prove "eligibility to file an I-485" in your parents case is the I-130 and a copy of their I-94, proving they were lawfully admitted into the US.

you will also need your birth certificate, their birth certificate and, I think, their marriage certificate. In form I-130 instructions it is spelled out what documents you need in each case (father, mother).

Sure, but you don't need those to prove eligibility to adjust status. That's merely part of the initial evidence for the I-130.

You just need to pay attention what the instructions say. It's explained in detail on I-485:
"Evidence of eligibility.
- Based on an immigrant petition.
Attach a copy of the approval notice for an immigrant petition that makes a visa number immediately available to you, or submit a complete relative petition (in your case I-130) which, if approved, will make a visa number immediately available to you."
