Hi everyone,
my 485 and my wife's 485got approved on 2/10/05. my laywer got approval today, 02/14/05
No RFE or NOID at all.

Please see my post: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=1060204#post1060204 because my case is a long story.

My ex-employer even sent out withdrawl letter before 180 days. Then, i sent out AC 21 letter before 180 days and stated my new company will start to hire me the first day of i passed 180 days.

my friends, don't give up your hope. you can make it.

Congrats Painful140, I'm sailing in the same boat like the one you underwent. It gives me lot of hope too and follow your footsteps. However, Mine is at NSC but hope it works.

Since now you have gone through everything you should be knowing everything about AC21. Can you pls let me know if my situation is safe. My I 140 is approved in aug 2004 and its been almost 1 year since I filed my I 485. If I change my employer by filing AC21..Is there any way my current employer can revoke my I 140? Can you pls let me know or any one in the forum..appreciate your answers..

Hi Sizzu,
I don't recommand my 485 lawyer to anyone because his assistant only told me that " NO hope" on my case when i metioned I left the company and company sent out withdrawn letter.. and everytime I called her, she told me " give up this case, there is no way you can get approved".
Just try to do reserach as much as you can.
I got AC21 letter format from forum too:
It's very useful ( I just sent it by myself, no lawyer involved at all) :
http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=131868&highlight=format+ac21+letter

The only thing i changed is : i didn't metioned approved 140 XXXX, i only stated 485 WAC XXXXX.

Hope this will help.

Congrats

painful140,

thanks for the post. Sorry to hear that someone in your Attorney office turned out to be a crazy sadist , you know that is exactly why you should post the name of the attorney's office so that no one goes to him and gets played around...

Passport stamped but job not available.

A friend of mine got his I-485 approved based on future employment. Now he has learnt that the part of the business under which he got his LC has been sold by the owner to another company. In short there is no job at the sponsoring company for him.

The twist actually is that he used to work for this employer, then got laid off because of bad economic times but the employer continued the sponsorship with the hope of rehiring him after his approval.

Could you please advice him as to what to do? He currently works for another company doing almost the same things on his LC.

His passport has already been stamped.

Passport stamped but no job to go to.

Can someone tell me what will happen if after your I-485 is approved for future employmnet there is no job for you to go to?

The department where you are supposed to work has been sold to another company.

What do you do? Passport is already stamped.

I think if you got your passport stamped, you should be fine even you don't have job now... once your passport stamped, you are PR already, so you don't need to worry about this issue.
