485 Approval Tracker

485 dates

Hi All,
New to this.
PD: 01/98 with company A
EB3/Skilled Worker/India
I140- Applied 05/02
I140- Approved 04/04
I485- Receipt date 04/04 EAC0415XXXXXX
1st EAD approved 08/04
Started Working for company B 11/04 (AC21)
FP-03/05
2nd EAD Approved 06/05
Nothing after that and suddenly got an RFE on 01/20/06 Asked for employment letter stating hiring date, renumeration and future prospects of employment. Also pay stubs for the last 3 months. Have sent them letter and pay stubs from company B.
Got an online status change on 02/07 about them receiving the RFE. The message reads as follows:

On February 7, 2006, we received your response to our request for
evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to
process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was
complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum
stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Have never seen a message like this before in the forums. Also LUD's on 02/09 and 02/10.
Any inputs about what this message means? Is it really going to be a year more? I know it says it will be less than the maximum stated but u never know with uscis... Also does the written decision mean no interview? Also I submitted my medical records with the 485 in 04/04. Haven't received an rfe for medical though....

AOS Asylee

This was the fastest AOS I have experienced in the TSC.
I-485 after 1 year as an Asylee

Dec 30 2005 --- Receipt Notice (I-485)
Jan 20 2006 --- Biometrics and finger print Appointment
Jan 28 2006 --- Notice of cases approved
February 07 2006 ---- GC were mailed
February 09 2006 Green Cards were received.

** This was the case for 3 asylees (Ages 9, 9, and 5)
** The principal applicant and the spouse cases are still pending.

(Less than 2 months for asylee AOS for 3 minors)

The updated message is normal. As far as how long it would still take, it's any body's guess. No one can accurately predict the internal workings of USCIS.

Seems like a pre-agreement with the govt. for asylum status in return for some service, e.g. sharing information about drug lords or terrorists or even spying or something of that nature. :)
 
Hi All,

The dates for processing have changed to Dec 30 2004 and the PD has also moved to Jan 01. Can I do something abt it as the case is current or have to just wait. Please let me know if we can follow up on cases that are current.

Crazeeeeee but true..

Guys,

This news might raise hope for everyone that miracles can happen.. I saw the magic message on my 485 application last night
"after approving your application, we ordered you a new card"...

Wife's 485 not approved yet. But here is the crazy part, 485 filed a month ago, no EAD, AP..

I got approved my I-485 today. I am a silent viwer on this forum for long time, I learned lot of things, thanks to everyone on this forum to share their expriences and views.

Let me know if you have any question on my case.

I pray for everyone's number come soon.

BTW, I have some questions:
1. My wife's I-485 not approved yet, do you know how long it will take?
2. What are the documents I have to collect for stamping?
3. My DL (driver's license) is from different state, do I need to have the
local DL at the time of stamping?
