I have been asked to file the following:
1. Revised tax return - Which should include the world wide income
2. second affidavit of birth certificatae.

They did not say anything , but they said my daughter's file has not reached them. Looks like they apporve my case after my daughter's interview, which is scheduled on july 23,2003 at SF.
All my doubts is why they have to wait for my daughter's interview they can apporve my and my wife and my son since we finished our interview and second FP.

Lawyer kept sending FAX inquiries.. received 2nd FP notice and completed the same in Nov 2002. since then there is no action in my I-485...

I have just received the notice for both I and spouse (7/18/03). We're scheduled for August 12th.

Has anyone tried going before the scheduled date?

You can ahead of the scheduled date for FP. I did it last year 20 days before the scheduled FP date.

2nd FP - Way before schedule !!!

I did my 2nd FP in SF this Saturday. Very smooth process!
I arrived there at about 7:30 and I was out in about one hour.

I received the notice for fingerprints with a scheduled date of mid August. I took my chance and went there on Saturday (the next day after I received the notice) and I'm glad I did so.

I hope there is nothing else preventing INS from aprovng our apps.

PS. I tried asking some related questions but those folks had no idea about anything. At least they were doing this job properly. If only all the INS processes would be as smooth ...

Second FP notice received for myself and spouse - scheduled for May 2003

I got my GC stamped yes'day.

Second FP on June 10,2003
Interview held at SF on March 13,2003
Passport Stamped on July 23,2003

Interview was normal. Usual doumentaions like w2- , tax returns,W6, I-134 for dependents etc.,
Thye collect all my AP,EAD and I-94 on the same day but my daughter's file was not reached SF from CSC then I wrote letter to California Senator and she also wrote strong letter to BCIS,SF and after that they sent my daughter's interview letter by June 18,2003 and conducted the interview on July 23,2003.
The offier called all of us inside the room and show the current passport and he stamped the I-551 stamp on all of our passport.
Thank you very much for every body. From this forum I have learned lot of things and it was usefull to me.

I received my 2nd FP notice yesterday.
and its schedule for 19 AUG at Oakland Service center.

Can any one tell me if I can go there ahead of schedule?
Also is the service center is open on Saturdays?

Really appreciate your help.
