You can gohead and do your FP now and no need to wait till as per the letter date.
I also did my first and second FP's in oakland. Second time i did in advance and no problem.
After the second FP your I-485 will get apporved after a month.
Myne also got apporved like that that why I am saying. Hope for the best.
