Folks,
It's been now 26 days+ and still no FP letter received yet. Should I call? What no?

It took 4+ years for my employment based green card due to lengthy background check; am I in a similar long journey again?

See details below.

The only thing wrong is your lack of patience. Have you checked the processing time for your local office yet? See: www.uscis.gov

Well, I know that overall processing time for Local Office (Oakland Park, FL) is 5 months.

All I'm pointing out and asking that I've not received even Finger Print Notice after 4 weeks, whereas I've seen other cases within TSC and other Service centers that are Finger Print Notice within 2 to 3 weeks.

I hope question is clear now; and someone can suggest what should I do, if any thing at all at this stage.

On the 31st day since your priority date, call 800#, speak to level 1 and open a service request. Have GC, NBC #s handy.

2 More weeks

Folks,
It's been now 26 days+ and still no FP letter received yet. Should I call? What no?

My friend, just give it two more weeks & you will have the letter. Hopefully by the end of 1st week of Nov, you will have the letter in your hands.

Another tip. Once you get the letter, no need to wait for the actual FP date. If you have time, just do an early walk-in. If they are busy they may have you wait, but most of the time these folks are nice & will accomodate you. This way, the time that you lost in waiting fo FP letter will be made up by u doing an early walk-in for finger prints.

Good luck.

keep in mind that not all CIS offices allow "early" biometric though.

Best wishes to you

My FP notice did not show up for 30 days so while most FP notices show up in 2 weeks or so, it is not uncommon for it to take a month. I know several other forum members for whom the FP notice took 30 days (check in the N-400 August forum).

Hopefully yours will show up soon. Good luck!
