23 Months today. Frustration...

I just need to blow some steam. I'm waiting for 23 months to get approval. Almost 2 years.
No REF. No 2nd FP. Nothing.

I can't go back to my country, as it is not going thru an economic boom as India, but this wait is soooo long.
Having to put your life on hold for such a long time (over 5 years since 1st H1), just because you are not lucky enough to be born in the right side of the world.

This situation is extremely depressing.

Sorry guys, but I'm feeling very bad today.

22 months and a week...(670+ days from RD)
no movement in my case after April 26, 2002 (no 2nd FP, no RFE, nothing)...wait continues...

Guys, never give up. Make me an honary member if you wish...that may alleviate some of the late pains. This is my 15th month waiting.

1980: First arrived - F1 - transferred
1983: First graduate- F1 - B.Sc.
1985: Second graduate-F1 - M.Sc
1989: Never finished - P.HD
1990: Practical training, if I remember correctly.
1991: left
1993: Came back - B1
1993: Continue on. - B1 extension (beat Arnold)!
1994: First H1B
1995: Second H1B
1996: Third H1B
1999: Third H1B extension. Started Labor
2000: H1B extension
2000: First I-140
2000: RFE on H1B extension - 6 year limit
2001: RFE on I-140. Finally approved in 4-4 months
2002: Second I-140 - changed company - same corporate company. Amended I-140. Approved after 10-11 months.
2002: Appied I-485 FINALLY in August 2002. Company waited for six months to see if my job is really permanent"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 years of H1B, two eads so far, two I-140 and 15 months on the I-485. Never gave up for a second!
Worked in three different states, trained in two different countries, worked in Asia as an "expatriate" -- what a joke. I was never an American to begin with, but became expatriate!!!
