    Hello Folks,

I heard the Magic words this morning that 485 is approved for me and my wife. Strange i checked last night at 8:45pm and it still said the same usual message. However
this morning the AVM said the case is approved.

Thanks to everybody on this board for plenty of information. Here are my case Details:
WAC-01-143-XXXXX ND 03/28 FP - done on July 19th. Since then waiting for approval. I do not know if this helped but last week on this board i saw a discussion saying
somebody got the approval after sending a Fax inquiry.
    So i did fax a inquiry myself @ these no\'s: (949) 389 3482,(949) 643 1538, (949) 389 3484.

EB2/India RD 4/17, ND 6/6 WAC 01-203 EAD (7/13), AP(RFE 7/19, Approved 9/10), FP (sched. 11/2 at Oakland, done at SJ on 10/13) AVM - Oct 17, then Dec 29 AD- Jan 24

Guys,

Finally heard the words \'Approved on Jan 24\' for all of us.

My details are in top line - so I\'m not repeating it - just AVM stuff - it was initially \'FP recd on Oct 17 and pending review\' and later changed to \'Dec 29 and processing resumed\'.

Also, I had talked 2 times to IIO in end-Oct and early Nov - but then stopped calling during daytime - just a regular AVM check every night at 9 on weekdays for last 60-70 days - today first time got late and checked at 11 p.m.

Thanks to all the participants on this Board. I feel very good and thankful about people like Rajeev Khanna, Ciba, PCee and others who make this somewhat almost tortuous Green Card journey bearable. Also, thanks to the fellow waiters - Henrysh (Congrats!!), Bongo, Jony Lever, Vishnu Mahadev, Dee Rod, RingJing and others. Good luck to all who are weaiting.

anika Gupta - 03:51am Jan 25, 2002 EST

My case has been approved on 24th Jan according to voice message. It is a
huge relief. I have been on this board for about a month. It is wonderful
place.to get an rough estimate. But at the same time, it makes impatient
, or makes addict to look everyday. I never thought it would be like I would
go so impatient to look about my approval. I have filed three patents in
a very stable and renowned company. It is not that I am showing off.

I am so grateful to everyone, who helped with my frustration. I wish the
everyone the best here. I know the people answered my question, and
they treated with respect a newcomer,

Wish you quick approval,

Anika

4852001 - 06:57pm Jan 25, 2002 EST

Hello everyone, (previous screen name apr_waiter)
My I485 was approved on Jan 22nd, Got the approval notice yesterday and got PP stamped today. Here are my details:
    PD: July 1999
(substitute for another emp \'cuz my I140 was rejected due to lawyer\'s mistake PD: sep 1997 gave motion for reopening but was not considered)
    RD: 4/5/2001
    ND: 4/23/2001
FP: Oct 20th (originally scheduled on 11/8)

It totally took 4 years and 4 months for the process. I was not actively involved in this board for a couple of months).

Thanks to Rajeev Khanna, Ciba and everyone of you.

    PP stamping experience:

Although my notice says to go to LA Downtown, as per the advice given in this board, we went to Santa Ana office.
    1. Went around 10 a.m, there were more than 75 people ahead of me.
    2. After 45 mts went in to collect the ticket in 3rd floor. Only one window was open. Took about 20 mts for the ticket.
    3. Went to 5th floor and waited for 5 mts, our nos were called.
    4. Gave 2 ADIT photos, approval notice, I-94, Passport. No questions were asked and we were done in 15 mts. The guy did\'nt did\'nt ask for EAD
or AP although we took everything.
    5. Totally the time spent was nearly 1 hr 45 mts.
    6. He said that the actual card arrival will take between 6 to 12 months.

Once again thanks to everybody. If you guys have any questions I\'ll be happy to answer.

#21 ----> Bongo, we are more than half way done now:)

Bongo - 08:52pm Jan 25, 2002 EST

I think it was only fitting that my good friends
HenrySh and Bhagwan led the way by getting their
approval on January 24th. I was excited for them
to hear of their approvals, so I checked up on
my case and my wife and I\'s case have been
approved. Now I\'m so happy for my wife as well. It\'s
somewhat hell for us to wait for approvals, but
our spouses go through twice as much hell having
to wait a long time before they can even begin
to work.

Here are my details:

I140 Outstanding Researched filed 12/26/00.
I140 approved 03/29/01
I485 filed 04/30/01 (WAC-01-223-5xxxx)
Finger Print noticed recieved 10/01/01
FP done 10/09/01 @ SJ (scheduled 11/08/01 at Oakland)
AVM changes to FP received on 10/15/01
AVM changes to FP collected processing begins on 12/21/01
AVM changes to approved 01/24/02.

So it took just over a year of INS processing time to
get my GC. However, it took about 4 months to prepare
the outstanding researcher petition.

Thanks for everything guys and all the best!
