hi my father and mother win the lottery and will have their interview in few days.I have some questions:

1-I am their only child and I go to university here. If they go I dont have anyone here so what can I do to go with them? which visa should I have to just go with them? and should I go with them to the embessy and ask for visa the same day or not?

2-Before this I wanted to study in US but when my mother and father had the Green card would it be difficult for me to gain this visas?

I don't think it would be a problem for you to get a student visa, which will allow you to stay until you finish your studies in the US. You parents should also file I-130 for you immediately after getting their green cards (as long as you're not married), which should take 5-7 years before you get your own green card.

1 - If you go the same day to get a non-immigrant visa (the immigrant visa is out of the question) and you mention (or they see in their computers) that your parents are in the process of obtaining immigrant visas today, very likely yo will be denied a visa.

2 - You can try a visitor visa later , but it might be hard to get considering the fact that your parents are immigrants.

Once they are in the USA they can file a petition for you, but it's a lengthy process. Several years or so. But I guess this is the only way.

How old were you when they applied for the lottery online? because if you were under 21 at the time, you qualify with your parents for the visa.

@ Dadadada72.... Why do you bash on every thread to paste "any news on visa bulletin"???. Mr. Man you can check visa bulletin info on the Visa section of the state.gov site. I hope that helps

thank you for all your replies It means I am not alone in this planet!
but all of you said that there isnt any way that I go with them? you mean there is not ANY visa!?
I see someone today that said because I was student in the time that my dad fill the lottery forms, he could type my name as his son and I would qualified! Is it correct? is there any law like that about the student child over 21?

actually I was 21 and 1 month! Am I such an unlucky person or I just think I am so!?

You are out of luck. You are stating you were 21 and 1 month when they entered and now you are 22. They won't be able to sponsor you and even if you show up for the interview, only the people on the paperwork will be allowed in the interview room. You are out of luck...I'm so sorry.

I don't think the immigration law make sense in cases like this. I have seen it with E 2 visa holders who have businesses in the US for years and some of their kids moved here as babies or toddlers and lived her for close to 20 years...but nothing has changed and unless that child is able to get a student visa or another visa...they have to return to the country they were born and they don't know. That is why that law needs to be changed.
Families have been torn apart and people have closed up good running businesses since they didn't want their kids to live in a Country by themself that they don't know...many English families had to deal with this since they are not even eligible to enter the DV lottery to try to get lucky...heart breaking stories...perhaps you might be one of them...I'm so sorry.

As the single adult child of a green card holder, your parents will file an I 130 and your MUST remain single. The current date for F2B visas is 2003 so you would have many years to wait. If your parents become US citizens during that wait they can upgrade your petition to that of adult chld of a USC which if you stay unmarried cuts a year off the wait. You can get married as a child of a USC but that slows things down.

thanks for all your replies
what happen to other visas why I cant just get visitor visa or student visa?! I am student here and will come back cause I want to get my degree! I really don't want to get the green card I just want to go there for study or anything cause I want to be with them. my uncle has a business there can I submit to become his employee and get visa for that?!
