2014 dream team

Does anyone know how to stop getting email alerts? I've disabled all my alerts but still get emails on updates on threads I've added to.

Btw one thing I love about this new forum is that it compresses long quotes.

There seem to be two places where alerts can occur - one is preferences (about watching and replies), then also are the alert preferences - which iot sounds like you did already. Also make sure you are not watching threads already, or watching the forum itself (unless you want to be bombarded by updates).

Hm, I've done both. Also it seems to automatically make threads "watched" if I post in them.

Right - one of the options was to automatically watch a thread. But once you have the settings right and unwatch the thread - you should have a quiet life.

Lol, I give up. I have absolutely everything in alerts, alert preferences, and preferences, unchecked... And I am still receiving mails :D

At the top of the page, do you see the watched forums and watched threads links. Check them. You can select a number of threads and unwatchable them from that page.

The preferences set how the forum will behave for you in future threads, but you may already be watching some threads. Watched threads have a little pair of glasses on the thread list.

Lool ....what r u?...what if some of you are working for the website owners and u r just making the people like your predictions of every VP and Your storys ..till they get addicted to the forums and here comes the cash loool ...the money is always related to the addiction....am just saying:rolleyes:

Yeah, that would be terrible. Imagine giving people lts of free help, information and encouragement just to lure them to become addicted to a totally website. Then we would get them and we would be free to make lots of money by charging them absolutely nothing!

It's a brilliant evil plan!

Ooohhh, what evil geniuses we must be!! Yeah we get people addicted to the forum, charge no money, offer free advice (heck who does that in these days of commercialism?! :confused:), then make loads of money off those unsuspecting dolts while still charging not a single dime.

Looool dont be angry guys am just saying.... but r'nt u with me that any website owners woukd like to have the biggest visitors records on daily basis. .the more visitors and users u have at your website the more monnnneyy u get...just like ."click here."."click me" ;) links ....also am just saying
 
Conspiracy theories are every where anyway if u r true or not or what ever you r I really appreciate your help ...some of u actually gave me hope through this year while am wating for my number to be current
