I-485 approved, card ordered

I am happy to say that I got 2 e-mails at 4:45 pm today, July 1st, stating the following:

"On June 30, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

What an odyssey! I was stressing out over the fact that I was not getting any LUDs on my I-485, but as others have said, this is not necessarily an issue. Thanks for all of your advice and support. This forum has been great.

For me, the torture continues:

With all the anxiety that surrounds all this waiting, retrogression deadlines etc, I just got about 13 emails: (and my heart is beating really fast as I open the message)...

"On June 30, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. "

I had about 5 seconds of joy before realizing this is for the H1b extension.... :eek:

Well at least I have another year... :rolleyes:

I have been a silent reader of this forum, like so many out there.. I am happy and relieved to let everyone know that i received 20 approval emails as below for my spouse and myself a few hours back ..

hi friends,
:) today i got emails saying cards mailed for both of us(mine 485 approved few days back but never got any confirmation about my wife). :)

:eek: The problem is my wife is out of country on AP, and was planning to come in couple of months. :eek:

:confused: what could she do to enter US? Use AP or should i mail her the Card? :confused:

I am happy to finally getting over this (mine was struggle for so many years), but this new question is not allowing me to enjoy the moment. :mad:

Please advise.

No problems for spouse, she can come in with AP even after 485 approval.

Take it easy, drink, eat and enjoy for 3 days.

Generally they have Citizenship Oath Melas on Junly 4th converting people to Citizens.

But I did not know, they have GC approval melas for 4th of July.

Dude - Congratulations!!! Good news before the long weekend. You are welcome to join me for a drink this evening. I have already told you about our case. Just ask her to use her AP. If you still aren't convinced, I'd suggest you consult your attorney.

Congrats to all recent approvals....

Guys.... please help. I am trying to find out if my approval delay due to my working experience in a gulf country and also because of my popular last name, no middle name in official record etc. Did anybody here got recent approvals who had their case stuck in name check recently (per USCIS) and now approved ?. Also if your name falls in to a common name category with no middle name in official record and if you had worked in any gulf countries etc ?.. I am getting frustrated with this whole name check delay crap...... it is ridiculous that this name check delay is killing us.....!!! Please reply.....
 
Last Name is different

Hello MJK and others,

My wife's last name on her passport is different than it is on her GC card.
Does it cause any trouble at POE? We are planning to visit India soon.
