Thanks assur/itec, your words are re-assuring...all this while I was looking at the spreadhsheet and this are my observations, others please comment...

-Seems like a wave of approvals for cases from NY. NJ, PA and VA, I am seeing a couple from CT pick up as well.
-There has been no cases from MA, EB2 or EB3 approved in a long time...so, as ASSUR explained, officers handling cases from MASS may soon start picking these files and there will be a spurt in approvals for cases from MA/NH area...any more theories ;o)

probably you guys are right, my case is also EB3 MA even though I am located in CT now the company still in MA...

do you think they go by the state of origin of LC ? I also noticed a whole bunch of approvals from NY, NJ, PA and very few from CT/MA... is it possible that MA is so screwed state that we had to stuck with LC for 2 years and now it's slower in 485 phase too ?

I have the same FP dates as yours and my FP received date is the same as yours too but my I-485 RD is 8/2004. Still waiting!

There is rain of approvals for cases having FPs done in 1st week of April ( congratulations to all approved !!) , while i see many approvable cases with Fps done in last week of March still pending .. see my signature .. ANY GUESSES what's going on ?? Who all are in similar situation ??

Good question. I don't think there is any process in place that puts a retrogressed case back on track once the PD becomes current. I remember seeing a post where the person had to call USCIS to create a trouble ticket to initiate processing to be resumed once his PD was current. His ND was 30 days prior to the published 485 processing date at VSC so he had called to initiate an enquiry.

My 140's RFE is replied by the company and received by USCIS on May-03-05. Please look at my signature for details. Can any one please let me know that how much time this may take from now on!

Anything special with FP received date 04/11/2005 ?

All cases with FP received and case resumed date of 04/11/2005 are STUCK. Senthil was the lucky one to get over, lets see who is the next to cross the finish line !!

Do you want that USCIS waste the time updating the dates only...??.
your case will be picked-up and boom...You need approval and not meaningless LUD. Just a matter of time..Wait

Online status for my wife's application has changed to (and received emails also):
Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On May 3, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed....

Originally it was approved on 04/13/2005. Any ideas, gurus?
 
My I-140 approved !!

Hi Guys,

My I-140 got approved on 4/14/05.
My wife's I-485 got appoved today - 5/4/05

After a looong Labor (no pun intended), a one-year (only) wait for 485 is amazing. The forums have been a great place for information as well as a place to come together as a group. Hope everyone's apps will get done sooner and remove the anxieties....

VSC is all screwed up !! :D :D They are approving approved people again and leaving pending cases as it is ! Well we knew that USCIS was funny, one more example :p

Hi Itec baba,

Looks like I need your predictions.
My Details are in the signature.
Fp Done on 2/21.
FBI sent results back on 2/22.
Still waiting as the message say Case resumed.

I am tensed as it has been passed two months after my fp has completed.
Please predict my approval date.

Who approved from VA? I notice that VA officer in VSC is always late.
 
How are FP Notice and 485-PD related ?

Guy and experts (assur):

How are PD and FP realted ? Do you think USCIS will issue a FP notice for 15th Feb even if PD on the case is not current (EB3 and PD is after June 2002).

I am a bit worried as I have not seen my I140 approval and so I dont know my PD for sure (my attorney says Nov 2001) ... meanwhile I received a FP notice in March and Scheduled date of 15th April. I did my FP and also have a LUD (FP recd - case resumed) on the 25th. See my signature.
