Card Ordered

I received this email this morning for both self and spouse :D

"On May 9, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

Hi Jharkhandi
I am a fellow jharkhandi (originally from jamshedpur). Hoping to get an opinion from you because you must have seen a lot of cases. Had FP done on 21st April (alexandria). Had only one update 4/22 and still waiting for the status change update. Another person who did FP on the same date also did not have the FP update also. DO you think the processing is still going on without the update message? I have been unfortunate before at the i140 stage too where my case number could not be tracked and suddenly out of the blue I got the approval.
Hoping to get your opinion.

update mail received that card has been ordered for my child and will be mailed soon.

The week started off with quite a few approvals....hope this week and the following ones as well brings in a flood approvals.

Yesterday, the message changed to "after approving your application, we ordered you a new card... etc" So I am Happy :)

I got the letter from FBI for name verification, got the standard letter saying found no records for me and my wife. Had emailed sometime in the 1st week march i think.

Congrats to all who got 485 approvals.

Yes I think processing can still go on without change in message. So do not worry.

I would suggest that you call VSC and try to find out what is going with your case! Also prepare for

1. raising a query, just in case you need it.
2. representation thru congress man's office.

You may like to keep print-outs of visa bulletins and published dates on USCIS site for VSC.

I just want to prepare you for any such situation - not that I anticipate it(too early)!
 
I-485 Approved

I have been a silent reader of this forum for years and today would like to share my information (see my signature) with you, hopefully folks with pending cases will get your approval quickly. As many people pointed out, this is a great forum providing lots of information, support and encouragement in the GC process.
I did FP twice, FP1 on 03/08 with received message from spouse case only. So I called FBI several times (INS as well) and was told it was not in their database yet. BTW, ink was used for the first time and I suspected it might get lost somewhere. Using online infopass, I went to local INS (Boston) and fortunately got another FP notice and re-did it on 04/06. That’s the reason why I had two LUDs for FP received messages (I guess the 1st one arrived in late March).
On May 4, I noticed current processing date 30days passing my ND, and decided to call INS again. The lady I spoke to was very nice and helped me to open an inquiry right away, however no updates from the website. Yesterday I got those approval emails for both our cases.
Overall I just feel approval pattern is very erratic, simply because officer maybe pick up cases based on batches, which could be related combination of many factors: e.g. case ND, FP date, Name check completion date, location, etc. (Just my observation, could be wrong). But bottomline you can open an inquiry once allowed by the rules.

Feeling after approval? Not much, nothing likes a freed bird from the cage which was the one I had when I passed the road test and got my driver license.

One more thing, I live in MA and hopefully they can pick up more cases here if there is a state factor.

Not trying to pick on anyone specific. Just that it annoys the heck out of me.

FP done on April 30, 2005 in Alexandria, VA

485 LUDs: 2/5, 3/5, 10/5 (FP received).

How long is it from this point?

we are in the same situation :) my FP/LUD(s) match yours and my case is also stuck :(

let's hope for the best. they should touch our cases in the next 2-3 weeks...
