Yes thats the normal trend. I am also on the same boat. See my signature for details. Your friend should get something in 2 to 3 weeks

Eric, Our I140 also denied on Edu. Evl. and we submitted 290 B on 28th april and as per tracking number received on 29th april. How long it took to change get NDate after mailing.
Is my attorney is going to get one receipt number? or any type of acknowledgement?

What is the procedure to become 485 active.Once USCIS receives 290B , the 485 will become resumed.And also is it possible to extend secondary applicant H1 to 8th year based on 485 pending? We are running out of 7 th year H1 by July end.

Even i got the approval message first and after few hours it changed to card ordered. so dont worry, they will order your card within a day or so.
 
485 approved

Hi friends,
On May 3rd we got email that 485 is approved and they have send us the plastic cards.
I couldn't believe since it has been just 4.5 months since we applied 140 and 485.
Labor PD date - mar 28th 2002
I140-485 RD-Dec 27th
I140 approval feb 14or 16th
fp done mar 24th
LUD Change -apr 11th
485 approved-may 3rd

Since i was pregnant by the time we filed 485,i didn't take any vaccine during medical checkup.They didn't send any query for this.It is a really miracle to get 485 approved

Hey you got the baby and now the GC. Life is good.... :)

IMO: Though a GC doesnt even come close to the pleasure of a baby

Congratulations on your fast approval!

I have a question on your medical exam. Did you do TB test at your medical exam? Was your immunization up-to-date at the time of medical exam? My wife did not do TB test and was incomplete in vaccine record. I don't know if she will get medical RFE.

CT/MA are having 485 delays

I don't know how far this is true but for some reason for CT/MA people it is taking more time to get 485 approvals. Darn it, we pay more taxes on top of it this tooo..

yeh, you forget to mention that LC also took like 1.5 years in my case... some of my friends who filed after me still waiting for their LC to be approved - 3.5 YEARS!!! :(

glad for those approved fast and I only hope that GOD could see how badly we need this GC and how long we waited and that we deserve an approval...

Maybe, people of Vermont dont like their neighbours. Vermont is somewhat inclined to be a Red state where as MA and CT are Deep Blue states.
