2 valid visas at the same time

Hello

I am currently working for an Indian based company on L1 visa.
If I get a H1 visa in Sep, can I still continue to work on L1 visa till the time I dont get a job on H1?
Because otherwise till the time I get a job on H1, I will not be paid at all if I cant work on L1 till that time.

Also if I can work on L1 till the time I get another job on H1, then in that case how long can I continue working on L1?

Pls do let me know the same.

If you get a new H1 visa ( not change of status from L1 to H1), you can start as soon as you stamp it from Canada/Mexici/India. You can continue to work on L1 until you get your H1 stamped.

If you do change of status, you have to join H1 sponsering company as soon as H1 got approved,
