You guys, who filed WOM, are almost like war heroes. I almost became one but my war ended before it started ;) Well, at least I don't have any wounds to heal  Thank you!

    485 approved after filing Lawsuit

Although it's good it does not mean you won. Yet. Most likely judge will schedule hearing for your case (unless they adjudicate your I-485 before). If you file pro se: - be prepared to explain your situation, be as clear and consise as possible - make sure you understand everything you...

You have to decide if you want to file WOM yourself (pro se) or hire an attorney to represent you. If you file pro se you need to: 1) find your district court 2) get pro se package from them (handbook, local rules etc) 3) create complaint according to the local rules and numerous...

My I-485 and my wife's I-485 were approved today. The bad part is that I missed the fun to sue my dear friends from USCIS and FBI (I was so excited to file WOM in 2 weeks). The good part is that I don't have to spend $350 for that. I don't know how my name check was cleared. Recently I sent...

Writ of Mandamus - My I-485 is extremely delayed

It's somewhat grey area for me though. I did see Nor Cal pro-se hand book providing caption page example with 2 plaintiff's names. Maybe I'm confused because of this or similar message: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showpost.php?p=1536200&postcount=6040 All cases with multiple...

    Name Check Statistics

The "1%" they are so proud of is extremely huge number given the limited resources of FBI NNCP division. There are about 80000 cases stuck in namecheck for over a year (2003-2005).

Anyone with a lawsuit against USCIS or thinking about a lawsuit (Merged)

May 17, 2006. Do you believe FBI eliminated 90% of the backlog in 5 months? http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/CISOmbudsman_AnnualReport_2006_II-F-Name_Checks.pdf

Anyone with a lawsuit against USCIS or thinking about a lawsuit (Merged)

That's really funny. USCIS reported 130000 cases stuck in name check, most of them stuck for years.

I believe you can write it yourself, but you have to follow certain rules. Try searching I-140 forum for these rules.

Stuck in Name Check??? Let's track it

You can start from this FAQ http://www.fbi.gov/page2/nationalnamecheck.htm Your namecheck can be expedited by USCIS. Previously people used to write representatives from congress, senators, mr. president and the first lady and it used to help, at least to some extent. However once these...

Help! - No update after NC Cleared/PD Current/FP done since Sept.

Luckily FBI is still providing fingerprinting status over the phone. Call them, have your A number ready. Normally they return results to USCIS the same day.
