I sent an email to FBI <fbinncp@ic.fbi.gov>,"FBI" <Michael.Cannon@ic.fbi.gov> on Sep 7th 2007 and got cleared on the same day. I got confirmation with the infopass appointment on Sep 18th. I did took the proof from IO in written saying my background check was clear. Why don't you give it a try.
