I waited until I became a US Citizen before going COP to marry my wife.

You are not a US Citizen so you dont qualify for K1 If you travel to a third country then ou cna marry her and then file for her but the wait is longer. I was in this situation before i end up waiting until i became a US Citizen before traveling back to COP

I am a US Citizen--the problem is they are extremely slow , i just got approved on march 8th 2012 after waiting for 8 months since July 9th 2012

Dont bother the website is not updated,, i got approved march 8th 2013 and the webiste says June 4th You have to wait until they approve you
