I received it directly from CIS, since I filed 485 by myself (university filed 140 for me). It seems from other threads that if you applied through a lawyer, CIS will send RFE to the lawyer. I don't know it is legitimate that your lawyer can charge you that much.

Yes, a LUD on 10/1 appeared, but messages are still the same for my wife and I. I think my code 3 FP is just accidental. It is highly likely that my FP code 1 of Feb, 2005 expired, and they need a new one for some reason. After many LUDs, I don't think LUD indicates any progress toward an approval.
