It's been known to happen, but it's illegal, so if anything goes wrong, it's hard to complain. The idea is that a company filing for an H1B visa is supposed to need the skill and be willing to shell out the cost to get it from abroad.

Thanks coolpdx, Let us know when yours gets approved. It seems I'm the only one who's been stuck for 6 month on a CP 140. Is there anyone from the same time period in the same situation? I'm trying to see if I should use FOIA to peek at what's in that file.

Any CP out there? Are there other people out there who have been waiting for I140 CP for a while, or is it just me? Thanks 140 ND 09/27/04
