There have been a few cases where 485 was approved without I140. You have to search, if I recall, the 2004 thread. Both mine were approved the same day.
Good luck
I took a look at my 485 approval and doesn't say anything about any future biometrics. Keep me in touch of what is this about!
BTW I received the 485 approval notice in my mail. My lawyer received one, too.
CO - card ordered
CM - card mailed
CR - card received
is written on your notice what papers you need. I think passport, driver licence and the FP notice. They will take FP to all 10 fingers, digital pictue and digital signature.
They will stamp the back of the FP notice
call next dau the USCIS and you'll find out!
Could be related with an RFE, a phone call to uscis or a future approval. Why are you so scared about an RFE? Would you be happy if your file would collect dust on a shelf for years? An RFE is issued when the officer is ready to approve your petition but needs more evidence.
Good luck
Hi,
I'd say that your name check was initiated. If you'll have, in the next few days a new LUD that could be name check received by USCIS. After that, in around 1-2 months you'll get RFE or approval. EB2 is current .
Keep us apdated!
Usually this is a standard procedure to see a LUD without the message changed right after the FP (which I didn't have but saw it at many). Watch when the message changes in "On......the results of your fingerprint were received .....". The first one after that could be the initiated procedure...
Yes, totally different process
No and no.
Name check is another story. Not to scary anybody, but usually takes a couple of days. For the unlucky ones can take years.
For each aplicant
Some people get the approval without any LUD.
FP is the key
I don't think for EB2/1 the dates shown on USCIS have any relevance. After being months on this site and looking at hundreds of signatures I could figure out how USCIS works. Once you are done with your FP, USCIS will send a request to FBI for name check. USCIS does that just in...
true
Don't trust what your lawyer says to you. Double, triple check even if s/he gets mad. I have asked him in the past 5 months so many times (I even forgot how many calls I made) what is going on with my I140 petition? Everytime the answer was "nothing". In June my 485 was approved and I...
If you are EB1 or EB2 then your PD should be current, so probably that's why your PD field is blank. Mine was, too.
Anyone can get an RFE in any stage, before or after FP notice.
My 140 was approved 3 months back, but my lawyer "forgot" to mention it even after I made 5-6 inquiries to his office. I got paniked after my GC was approved and still no news about 140. Finally 3-4 days ago he called and let me know that the 140 was in fact approved "way back-his words".
What do you think? Should I tell my employer about the approval? The only problem is that he will start to behave nice (normal) and in January will be very difficult for me to tell him to find somebody else to replace me. I'm not a jerk. Thank you for your advice
