Do we need to fill in I-134 (and notarize) from US when we are going to India for interview ? I thought that I-134 needs to be filled in the presence of the Consulare office during the interview at the COnsulate in India

Raju, Appreciate your response. a) When I mailed the consulate I told them specifically that I am residing in US from the past 2 years. So do I need a PCC from India and their reply is that I need a PCC and Passport Clearance (Never heard about it !) from all places that I stayed for more...

Got a mail from Mumbai Consulate that Police and Passport clearance is required from all places where we stayed for > 6 months. Till now I thought we would need PCC only from Indian Consulate in USA (if residing in USA)

Srikar, I got a mail from Consulate that they need PCC from all places where stayed for > 6 months. Did you inquire about PCC ?

what is "name check via email " Do we have to do this "name check". I thought it is done at NVC and the applicant does not have to do anything.

srkar45, My case is like yours. I guess that the consulate will send the request for visa numbers during 1st week of May for cases that got current with the latest MOvement in PD. Which would mean that these interviews may get scheduled in June. P.S. Not a lawyer.All postings are personal...

Successful CP with PCC older than 6 months ? It is still not clear if PCC is valid for a year or 6 months. Can anybody share his experience if he got his CP interview done successfully with a PCC older than 6 months ? Thanks in Advance

I got an email from Mumbai Consulate saying that they hope to schedule my interview in Jan. My case does not appear in the interview schedule for Jan. What does it mean ? Has anybody gone through this situation Before ?
