I recently arrived back in ATL. Green card stamp in passport and no physical card. Immigration officer sent me to secondary screening and would give no reason why. Secondary screening involved a 30 minute wait and no explanation as to why I was sent there.

Your comments are so negative.
The Green Card process moves more slowly than we desire but at least our applications progress. Our reward for patience and meeting qualification criteria is the opportunity to live and prosper in the USA.

Congrats. This is amazing.
I was convinced this was your day when I wrote earlier about the "drama of the spreadsheet" and "guess who is going to get approved next".
With predictive powers like that, maybe I should head to Vegas
Another update today.
Standard message re processing time for cases of this type also includes an addendum stating the "processing time for this application will be substantially shorter since preliminary processing has already been completed".
RFE for my I-485 (RD 10/8/03) was issued on 12/14/04 and received on 12/28/04.
Response was sent to USCIS via Fedex on 12/30/04 (copy of most recent I-94 and EAD).
USCIS just sent email update acknowledging receipt of RFE on 1/7/05.
If the I-140 is approved with no RFE is it fair to assume that the RFE issued a few days later for the I-485 will be not be for Educ Eval, Ability to Pay etc. Is it more likely to be for a BC or confirmation one is still employed by the sponsor?
Any input appreciated.
Congrats to hwathwar - concurrency in motion, that is remarkable!
