I showed him proof of new address in the form of Drivers license. Before that I had called up INS VSC to notify change of address. Local INS guy saw my new address in his system and told me that he can accept the application. I went to local INS application support center

I got my fingerprinting done today at completely different place and date which was there on the notice. My case is exactly similar to you. I explained my case to INS officer . They agreed without any problem. I did not call any number to change appointment.
They do not care
As long as you have a notice (whetehr applicant copy or lawyer copy) they do not care. They need FP* number on fingerprint notice. That\'s it.

The INS officer there at fingerprinting can correct the mistake.
They look at your A# and find out the details.
My wife\'s SSN was wrong. H eeven corrected it.

I did my finger printing today 2 weeks before actual appointment date (in a different location also). Just show at at nearest INS location with notice and picture ID. Normaly they are very helpful
