Can somebody apply his/her EAD card after I-485 application.

I am going to apply my I-485 but i am not sure about my wife EAD card whether we should apply or not. Can we apply EAD card after I-485 application or is it required to file along with I-485?
 
You can

apply for your EAD after you apply for I 485.
I have just send my EAD application through my lawyer even I had applied for my 485 in August.
