I had the same experience. My case was approved in Jan 05. My wife's case was still pending. then in May 2005, they sent me a 2nd approval. I called the 1-800 nbr and asked them if it was meant for my wife's case. They said they do not know. Then they probably realized their mistake because soon...
Whew! My wife's case has been reopened. Got the notification from BCIS:
The following is the latest information on your case status
Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On March 31, 2005, this case was reopened...
My wife's case has been deinied
Hi,
Unfortunately, my wife's case has been denied. My case was approved 01/28/2005. I completed my finger-printing on sep 14, 2004. But because my wife was in India at that time, I rescheduled my wife's finger-printing with the Application Support center...
Fantastic!!!!
GREAT NEWS!!! Welcome to the club. My PD is Sep 4, 2001 so it took me around 3 years, 4 months. It seemed forever so I know what 4 years must have been like!
Chiddhu, Congrats on I-140 approval!!!!!! I have been observing your problems on this forum..... I am really happy for you!!!! Now, just take it easy and coolly wait for I-485....there might be a wait....but hang in there....All the best.
Kumarrrrr........my Case Approved Tooooooo!!!
Updated Tracker with my info......I can't write much now...except that I reflect kumarr's feelings.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE...DON'T WORRY...JUTS IGNORE THE VERMONT CASE STATUS AND PROCESSING DATES...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TOO MUCH ON...
GC7, If it is expiring on 07/08 then you should have applied on 01/08!! It is mentioned on EAD application that renewal EAD should be SIX months prior to expiry....so dont wait Go for it right NOW!!! Mine is expiring 08/15/05 I am planning to start gathering documents right away!!!
God....I am so sorry Kumar.....But last year my own EAD took me over 120 days...So I went to Chicago centre WITHOUT ANY APPOINTMENT at all....and got my interim EAD within 2 hours... It is supposed to be a walk-in dammit it is clearly mentioned in the application form for EAD....Do rules vary...
....And documentation for walk-in EAD is EAD receipt notice from VSC + I-485 receipt notice from VSC. Of course, you will take your passport + driver's licence for ID.
jay-gm - best thing is to call the 1-800 nbr and ask them specifically if you can apply for Interim EAD in your situation. If you have the APPROVAL NOTICE in original from VSC then perhaps you are okay if you are carrying it with you at all times.
Although I cannot make any assumptions about...
kumarr, you are taking a big risk if you are working with expired EAD. Are you aware of Interim EAD ? You can go to your local INS office in person (walk-in) and show them proof of application that you had applied for renewal EAD but it has taken more than 3 months, and your I485 receipt. They...
Yes, I filed them concurrently. My case is EB3 INDIA, filed out of Illinois. I have another problem - which I suspect might be delaying my case - my wife went on a long vacation during which I received FP notice. So I did my FP while I rescheduled my wife's FP to January. So far I have not...
GC7, it is the same case with me. My LUD changed to 09/21/2004. But the message says "On Sep 20, 2004 we received the results of your finger printing...". I too have that difference of 1 day. I think this is THE LEAST of the things to worry about. They received the results on a certain date but...
Yes, of course I am !!!
kumarr, it is not just YOU YOU AND YOU.. It is me to...I keep banging my head against the wall asking WHY ME WHY ME WHY ME.....That is the reason I am logged on at 3:47 am on a Monday morning...Many of my colleagues with exact same parameters (same employer, eb3...
BTW, I had started a discussion on Advanced Parole - transit visa requirement a while ago..I feel I should wrap-up the discussion...On Advanced parole transit visa is required, yes, it is required...depending on what your airline tells you...I am flying Air India tomorrow via London and...
"L"ast "U"pdate "D"ate
You can see this only if you have created a case portfolio, a logon id/password at the service center website. When you login, you will see last update date.
My LUD still says 09/21/2004 - FP received , processing resumed
Guess I am not in the same boat anymore because your LUD changed and mine is still the same: 09/21/2004. "PROCESSING HAS RESUMED...."
