We discussed about this senario before in this forum. It turns out to be two results: 1) The prmary applicant's case was approved too, but no online message changes. 2) The primary applicant was stuck in the name check. You may ask your friend to call VC to find his status out.

We changed our address and called the service center before FP. But the FP notice still sent to our old address. And when we did our FP, we found they still had our old address in their system. So we updated our address when doing FP. And after a few days, the online message changed to...
