    Filing re-entry permit (I-131) form

Reentry permit See the attached link on retaining PR status. As long as you intend to keep the US your home, and you protect yourself (eg by getting a reentry permit etc) then you should feel free to do whatever you want. http://www.imminfo.com/knowledgebase/immigrants/abandonment.htm

    Card Received from VSC

Yes - through the IIO SJ, I got the SRC by speaking with the IIO (after calling the number) and by quoting my A#. Perhaps it takes some time for an SRC# to be generated or something. I hope you have better luck with the IIO if you call in a month or so. Cheers CJ

    Card Received from VSC

Same number I used the phone number - (214) 381-1423 (which may actually be the VSC number, but it worked to check on my status anyway) I used the SRC number applicable to my case on the Automated Voice Message system, and the automated message had changed. I gather that this is unusual...

    Changing Job Quickly vs. Citizenship

Wait 6 years and apply I have seen postings on this issue on the www.imminfo.com site (run by Ron Gotcher (attorney)). Ron advises that applicants in that situation should simply wait for 6 years if there is any doubt. If you have been laid off or have moved on due to changed circumstances...

    Message change from \'Card Ordered\' to \'Approved, sending receipt\'

After completing CP, I checked the card status and the automated message stated \'card ordered 16 November\'. The message has since changed to \'Application approved, notice sent on 6 December.\' Does this mean that the card has been sent? Judging by prior postings I have read, the change...

AVM says Green card had been ordered when am I likey to get my physical green card?

Period from card ordered to card received I believe that it takes 30-60 days, but closer to 30 days. Most people seem to be receiving their cards just less than 1 month after the message changed to \'card ordered\'. The Christmas mailing period may well cause a bit of a delay though...
