SOME CASES that is the magic word. Some people got their labor ,140 and 485 approved in one year. Those are all exceptional cases. The pain is more for 485 (:) I hope you don't have to feel that) because that is on top of going thru trauma of labour and 140

Guys ..Wish you all good luck. But do you know people have waited years (upto 3 years) after filing 485 in TSC whereas in other centers often they were approved within few months of filing .

INS / USCIS is not the right place for saving money on postage. They will process your EAD and send AP ;)

You should however emphasize that your job has same description. Try to get your responsibilty and duties as similar to labor as possible. They just want to make sure that you have similar and same category job and salary is just one factor

I think you should be just fine . I have seen many people in same boat. Since your salary difference is also very small I don't think you need to be concerned. Just mention that you are doing similar job with same responsibility.
