Official date in the uscis website is dec 1st 2001...But Aila.org website says dec15th 2001....Receipt date for my 485 application is dec 5th 2001.. But Can I call them today and intiate a status inquiry..

Okay I received call from FBI yesterday. FBI person told me that name check was completed on dec 22nd 2002. I am really confused with the progress of my case..

So Is it possible that FBI didn't receive the name check request from INS?.... If INS didn't receive Name Check Request, FBI dont have anything to share and hence they won't call... I am really frustrated with 485 processing..THere is no RFE or no update in the last two years.. I am hoping...

I have a questions...Is the case assigned with clearances???... Or case is assigned to an officer and officer waits for clearances.. Did you hear any response from fbi after faxing your information??

I filed 485 in december 2001 and there is no update on my case except for two finger printing notices that I received in the last two years. Case status page is showing that the case was filed at center on dec 5th 2001 and processing will take ..blah..blah.. I am really frustared with this...

I am also in this dec 01 boat I got finger printed twice so far!... What frustrates me is that case status page remained same for the last two months and didnt reflect finger printing progress... I guess contacting senator works for some people!....I still dont understand on what basis...

When you contacted senator's office, what did you tell them?. INS is telling that the current processing time is 26 months. Should some body until the end of the 26th month period and contact senator?. what do u suggest
