Milli, Even if you go fir stamping the next day after your approval, they do the IBIS check. I guess this is because the previous IBIS check is already more that 35 days old when the 485 is approved. Lagaan2000

San Jose stamping experience

Stamped today. 08/19 Check this message for stamping experience. Passport stamped at San Jose

Went at about 7:00 pm and my number was called around 8:30. But they didn't accept the photographs as they were a bit dark. Got new photographs outside INS and stamping was done around 10:00. Guys, don't take INS pictures from COSTCO. lagaan2000 :)

It's not applicable to us. The article clearly says that it is for foreign nationals who are not lawful permanent residents . You don't have to worry if you have the GC stamp on your passport. It is not even applicable to people other than GC holders if they are from India. India is not...

Change her status. You can also be extra cautious by changing her status from H1 to H4 so that even if something goes wrong with your 485 ( which almost never happens ) she will not go out of staus.

Just checked the AVM and both mine and wife's case approved. RD:- 11/27 ND:- 11/28 FP:- 04/12 ( San Jose ) AD:- 08/06/02 EB3 India I couldn't believe it when I heard the message first time. All the best to other people on the board.

Wait till the message changes. After sometime the AVM will say that " The case has been approved" You will get your card after that.

I don\'t think it should be a problem. It\'s not your mistake that your employer didn\'t pay you. In worst case you can use 245i and pay a $1000 fine and get your approval. These are just my thoughts.....
