USCIS Announces Backlog Elimination Update, 11/9/04.

Notice there are barely any 2003 posters on any of these threads. I think by the end of this year, all 2003 filers will be approved and only us 2002 filers will be left. I don't think this backlog reduction applies to us. Cheers. RD Aug 6, 2002 ND Aug 7, 2002 2 EADs, 3 APs 1st FP...

Lets take action, participate in Backlog reduction for cases pending before JIT

How about RFE's? When they issue an RFE, that drops out of the backlog numbers as well.

New processing time at AILA - TSC moving like an ant

Actually, people I know who filed in late 2003 have gotten approved very recently (less than a year wait, on average). There are lots of approvals but it is hard to move the processing date because of "the forgotten" who filed non-concurrently. As long as these files remain unproccessed (lost...

    What a screwed-up TSC

Hi, The people who answer the phone have access only to the same computer information you have access to. They are simply there so that you can vent your anger at them and not send a fax or mail to TSC. If you do send an inquiry by mail, your chances are far improved.

TSC is on fire!!! -- 679 cases (I-485) approved just in three weeks!!!!

They may be on fire but they are not doing my case or other nonconcurrent 2002 cases. RD Aug 6 2002 ND Aug 7 2002 We are the forgotten. This sucks.

    ND/RD 03/02 No FP

Hi Hoping, This does not sound right. You are past the published date. 1. At the very least, you can call the 1-800 number and put in an inquiry. It may trigger it. 2. Contact your lawyer, who will file an inquiry through his/her channels. 3. How many EAD's do you have? They...

    I got my FP notice

Hi, I just got my FP notice for Sept 25. RD Aug 6, 2002 ND Aug 7, 2002 My wife is still waiting. I am a nonconcurrent filer (the old system). I had sent a few faxes, but nothing in the last few weeks. If you have gotten your FP notice and are a 2002 filer, please post your...

    AP Approved

My AP was just approved last week within 3 weeks. The previous AP approval took 8 months. So on average, they are doing good. I wish they had more consistency. And no, this is not a good sign. This is just another element of their chaos rule. RD/ND August 2002 No FP yet.

    I'm mad

I think for some reason the concurrent applications are easier to deal with, or possibly they better fit the new guidelines. Whatever the reason, nonconcurrent filers are screwed. We just have to wait for our date to pass (hopefully in 6 months) and then take our issue to senators, etc. I am...

Did anyone hear "850 and 900 days" is changing?

Or maybe they should start using imaginary numbers (the square root of negative 1). That would be most appropriate.

*******TRANSCRIPT of DEPOSITION - PAUL PIERRE********

Question: On the 485 receipt, there is a projected processing time and a maximum processing time. Except for recent applications, where the processing time is 990-999 days, most 2002 applicants are past their due time (300 days, 750 days, etc.). Now, this receipt could be considered a contract...

    Criticism and Not

We all love this country and the democratic process. We would not try to become citizens otherwise. But I think it is safe to say we are unhappy with the slow and random immigration process and with the indifference to our plight. A little compassion (like phone operators who can actually help...

When to apply for AP and EAD renewals

My first AP took one month, the last one took 8 months. On my last EAD, I got an RFE (they wanted a photocopy of driver's license) and that delayed it by another month. Then they lost my wife's EAD in the mail (by typing in the wrong address I guess) which delayed by another month and a...
