how long to wait for I485 receipt notice
Hi, folks,
I have filed for I485 almost 3 weeks and still have not received I485 notice. I140 notice was received in less than 10 days. Is this normal?

Sympthy to your situation. A couple things you can do:
1. ask your attorney to explain the situation and keep following up every 2 weeks
2. write a letter to local senator or congressman. You will at least get a letter from DOL officier on the status of the reopening.

is it possible for you guys to pay a visit to BEC and figure out what was going on? Field trip sometimes helps. At least it does not hurt.

If they have 100 case worker, each one reviewed 10 cases every day, 20000 cases can be reviewed in a month. That means we can clear 30000 cases in 1.5 months if the math is correct
