Why am I not surprised by this? Am I to believe just because they have a more secure document that it costs more to produce? Or rather 35% more to produce? I think they are just trying to recoup all that money spent on opening additional production facilities just to keep up with...
Yes They Are
Yes - EDLs are in compliance with the READ ID ACT. Attached is a document from the CBP that talks to this point on page 3.

Yes - can you please explain why? As was mentioned numerous times in this thread, the general rule for dual citizens is to enter each country with that country's passport.
That's not true. If you provide originals of documents that prove your citizenship like a valid passport card/enhanced driver's license - or even copies of documents like a NC, they will investigate your case. Remember there are may ways of checking citizenship status such as an A#, SSN (since...
My bad.... you're right Huracan - it is a service center as opposed to the local DO. That changes the game a bit doesn't it? I would check the status online and also call the 800# and submit an inquiry or something.
Hey -
Sorry for the delayed response. I have been away for a few weeks.
Yes - please select 'NO' since the only reason you were placed in deportation proceedings was due to the fact that you were referred to an Immigration Judge. I marked 'No' to both questions and did not have a problem -...
Processing of the N565 takes a long time - upwards to one year even. You should continuously monitor the application and ask for a status update from time to time. So have your husband schedule an Info Pass to inquire about the application.
Whatever you do, don't lose that receipt notice as it...
I think it is a matter of being uneducated or unaware rather than whether or not one is a real or 'fake' American. The date formatting on all legal documents are pretty much standard. As is the use of "surname" and "given names" - it is the same on a US birth certificate as it is on the passport...
I completely concur with Just Shoot Me. A certificate means a permanent record tied directly to your child's A-number is created and kept on file. Yes it is costly, but it establishes your child's citizenship for life - without ever requiring the need for documentation proving your relationship...
It's been a while since I've peeked in here....and I am very pleased to see so many people getting their citizenship. Congratulations to all those that have been naturalized!
Read the INA Act 301 section (g) - the law does not specify the US citizen parent's 5 year presence in the US must be while they are a citizen.

Correct - if she has renounced her citizenship or lost it as a direct consequence of obtaining Canadian citizenship pre-1986, then that cannot be regained. She would have to apply for citizenship by filing for it. It appears that she is no longer a US citizen by the mere fact that she had to be...
You can also file the form G-884 "Return of Original Documents" - if you are certain the original birth certificate is contained within your A-file. USCIS will return your original document to you. Go here for more information...
Actually you should file an appeal with the Administrative Appeals Office for the refusal of the N600 if you believe it is unjust. There are many instances where an N-600 was originally denied - mostly to sheer stupidity - only to be overturned by the AAO.
Go here for a listing of cases worked...
The only caveat is that you will have to prove your time spent in the US - so start gathering evidence such as:
- SSA statements (showing employment)
- Copies of taxes filed
- Any copies of leases you may have covering a span of 5 years
- College/university transcripts , etc
You will also have...
the district office (Orlando in your case) do NOT schedule biometric appointments. The appointments come from the benefits center - so you need to follow up.
Then you are fine. Just get something in writing that you do not need to file due to lack of income and also have your transcript ready. Nothing to worry about here...
You are taking snips and interpreting to your own accord.
What you cut and paste is explaining that just because you adopt a child - it does not necessarily mean the child is a US Citizen. There is a procedure that must be followed for adopted children via USCIS and State Dept. Essentially it...
Okay correct me if I am wrong - but even if one has no income (zero dollars) one can still file an EZ 1040 application right? If so - I would suggest you do that so it "shows" you have nothing to hide.
If not, call the IRS and ask them to send you a letter stating that due to your lack of...
