GCFEELING, many congrats on finally making it through the process.

NEED URGENT HELP with I824
My I485 just got approved and I am getting ready to start the ftj proceedings for my wife. I had sent an email to the Delhi consulate asking for details and here's the response I got back:
Dear applicant,
You need not wait for the approval of I824. But you should...
I received a courtesy copy of my I485 approval in mail today. The online status still says:
On May 27, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence......
My attorney hasn't received the original approval notice either so I am a bit...
in fact, it has moved 4.5 months in the last three months and that's almost a miracle for THE SLOWEST CENTER; if it continues at this pace, all of 2001 would be none within the next four months..and that's what we are hoping for..
From looking at the consolidated spreadsheets, it seems like TSC is concentrating primarily on 2001 I485's but within those, it seems to be processing by FP date and it seems that it is now looking at FP's in March/April'03 timeframe.
Of course, that's just a hypothesis and I am sure there...
2/14/04?? interesting, has the TSC starting working weekends to reduce backlogs!!
that'd be really reassuring except most of us won't buy it; let's keep our fingers crossed....
approved nd 04-033
I was just checking my status online and found that my 3rd EAD (ND-11/17/2004) has been approved. I had filed the paper version and I haven't heard anything from my attorney about the approval notice yet.
I guess I have certainly gone thru scenario #2 - my last AP was valid until this november; I had applied for renewal in July and I traveled to Korea in September using my earlier AP. I have also subsequently used my latest AP (which I was lucky enough to get just before the holidays) and I did...
I have also traveled used my AP when the next one was in process. I never even thought through any of the implications but I certainly didnot have any issues getting back in using the already approved AP.
If you do have an H-1 stamp on your passport, it just may be worth taking a chance to send a copy of that along with her H-4 application and then hope and pray the consulate doesn't look any deeper - as I mentioned it's been known to work earlier.
So, if you did have an H-1 stamp earlier, is...
ksam,
While it is generally assumed that using AP to re-enter automatically necessitates EAD as the required work-authorization, I have confirmed with Ms. Murthy a couple times that H-1 is still ok as long as you are still with the company that originally filed your h-1 (don't know the exact...
my experince at Dallas Local office in mid-Nov
I also needed to visit back home for a relatively minor medical emergency and had a tried for emergency AP at the Dallas local office (my AP application ND is 07/25/2003). I carried a letter faxed by the doctor with me and they told me that they...
Please don't duplicate threads
Bajis,
I know you are a valuable (and contributing) member of this very useful forum and I hope you don't take this the wrong way :) - I'd request you to not duplicate threads with the same information, eg about someone's AP approval and JuanCarlos's I485...
Does anyone have the phone number for Dallas Local Office - I can't seem to find it on the USCIS website and I need to contact them for some information.
thanks
