wife got her card in the mail today.
we are now set till 2013 green card wise.
receiving plastic cards in 3 moths after stamping was a pleasant surprise. we were told it told take 8-10 months!
anyways those waiting hope you all get approved soon.
Cards ordered
RD 8/2001
ND 9/2001
RFE 2/2003
AD 5/2003
8/15/2003 - card ordered for my wife
8/19/2003 - card ordered for me
finally the journey seems to have come to an end. Will update when I receive the cards.
guys such approvals are usually for the dependents.
ex. some's RD might be 9/2001 then got married and applied for the spouse in aug/2002.
BCIS tries to process all dependents along with the original filer.
We need to get organised and put our point of view across otherwise bigots like these will get their way...

We use "Rolling Blackouts" to call to congres and each week we pick an Elected Offficial to...
I've been browsing these forums since 7/2002. Thats when I thought I would get approved. But it finally came on 1st week of may.
Thanks to greaty-k for rupnet and rajiv for this awesome site.
I just want to tell all folks who are waiting that your day will come. sooner or later you all...
don't worry moonlight.
same with me, they keep telling nonsense.
I was told it might take 3-6 months couple of weeks back.
I was approved on May 2nd.
You'll get it sooner or later, hopefully sooner!!
By Priority Date I meant the date on which your labour Certification was approved.
This might be relevant only for people who filed in 7/8/9 of 2001.
I remember PD's became current around 7/2001.
So a lot of people could not apply for 485 till 7/8 2001 because they were not current.
eg...
My theory is that processing is done based on Priority dates and not the 485 RD or NDs.
My observation is based on looking at these forums for last year and a number of my friends approvals.
I could be totally wrong.
My FP was about to expire on MAY 8th.
And I got approved on May 2nd.
In my opinion if your FP is about to expire, be proactive in calling BCIS and ask them for new FP appt.
Thanks BPBJHL042002.
Can someone also share what the next step is after getting the approval notice.
What documents do we need to carry for the stamping process?
Thanks again. This forum has been extremely helpful!
mugu,
I also saw the same message on the BCIS website, but the phone message is not yet updated.
Is your phone message updated?
pls reply at the earliest...
do you know why there could be a hold or what the significant find would be?
Are you from any of the countries that had to undergo special registration?
Since you are a vetran (AUG 2001), you must have gussed by now that the IIO's are the biggest bunch of morons assembled in one place.
Either...
625+ days
RD 8/6/2001
ND 9/18/2001
FP 2/10/2002
RFE Replied 2/26/2003
No approval yet.
Do we need to ask them for 2nd FP, how long is FP valid?
This is frustrating...
