Thankyou all for your best wishes and I really hope rest of my october buddies and others on this board get their cases approved as well.
DoubleGC means, one EB based and Family based. Well , the latter never happened because of priority dates.

My case finally got approved on May 12th. Mine was 140 approved for CP, VSC had to get the files from NVC. I had called VSC on April 6th thats when they sent a request to NVC to get the files and the officer asked me to wait for another 60 to 90 days. Anyways I am really happy, now that I can...
I am planning to contact a local senator(Virginia), anyone out there available to share experience? Does it really help or worsten the case ? Could anyone share the template leter to send to the senator ?
I never called them until I saw almost all october cases being approved. I don't think it should matter unless you are calling them every week, it might make them suspicious... BTW, I am an Oct 2001 filer and still waiting!!
My 485 receipt notice says it was received on Oct 30 2001 but my lawyer had mailed the documents on November 8th 2001. Did this happened to any one ?
My EAC# is EAC020545****
EAC number matches my ND that is, 04-December-2001
Thant being said, should I consider myself a November or October...
Was your 140 approved for CP ? I am asking this because when I had called about 20 days ago he said he is going to retrieve it out of storage ( mine was approved for CP) and should hear something within 60 days. Din't mean to confuse or scare you but just want to get some input.

Thanks for you response Jigesh
was your 140 approved for CP ? If yes, did you indicate to NVC that you will be doing AOS in the US. If no, how come your I-140 is there at NVC. Could you care to share the details of your case ?
Could you tell me how long NVC keeps our case numbers on their automated telephone message system ? This is because when I call NVS it says "case not found". My I-140 was approved for CP in August 2001
I had checked the online message by calling the NVC number and I entered the EAC number of my I-140(approved august 2001), it said case not found. Then I selected to speak with a CSR, she could not give me much details, but she said the files are not with them any more and they have been sent to...
What a nice lady she was, patiently and calmly answered all of my questions. What I heard this time was totally different from before.
When I had called last time the officer said my file has to be brought from the file room(I am quiet not sure what he really meant), my 140 was approved...
even my 140 was approved for CP. If not all I think most of the pending october cases were approved for CP. I had called the IIO a couple of weeks back, she said they are going to retrieve the documents from NVC and it will take another 60 to 90 days. I have seen a lots of "Approved for CP"...
Last week I came to know that my I-140 was approved for CP and they are going to get my files from the file room now. God knows how long I have to wait now.
