A friend of mine was about to file I-140 & I-485 with his approved LC. All the documents were ready with the lawyer. The problem is, he just realized that his H1 expired on Nov 6th 2004 i.e 6 days back. So, can he still file his I-485 & I-140? If not, is there any legal solution to the problem...

My I-485 was approved online on Oct 21st but I haven't received the notice until now from Nebraska center. Is it common not to receive the notice even after 5 to 6 days of approval date? Even my lawyer did not receive her copy until now. Can anyone with experience advice me? Thanks.
