Sorry for posting the question here. But this thread is very active and I might get some answers.
My parents shall be visiting US next month. I wanted to get information for their Health Insurance. Is it preferred to buy it in India or buy it here. There is a major cost difference, but I...
No reasons given
My parents applied at the American Consulate in Mumbai. They are in their early 50's (below 55) and the consulate din't give any reason for rejection.
Since they were below the age of 55, the first time they applied for the visa, they had to go in person (could not user the...
As I had posted earlier, I got my GC around 6 weeks back. Earlier my parents has applied for a Visitor Visa in Dec 02 and in Jan 03, but they got rejected both the times (they had to go in person). Then this month they had applied by Drop Box (as suggested by the US Consulate) and they got...
srohit - my EAD card also had the same message "Fingerprint Not Available". Guess it doesn't matter.

I have another theory in mind. Throw your inputs with your FP scheduled and FP done date.
All my friends who did their FP on the scheduled date, got RFE in Nov/Dec 2002 (their WAC's range from 0203 - 0205) and eventually most of them have got their approvals in Feb/Mar 2003. I did a early...

Haven't seen any one get a RFE recently. On top of it, except one, all approvals had RFE's generated.
Don't know where things are going. Keeping my fingers crossed and hope to see more approvals.

Re: RFE
So in one way, whenever they pick up a AOS case pending for more then 12 months, they are sure to send a RFE. Guess this call for another wait of 2-3 months after RFE is generated ... and god knows when the RFE would be generated (in short when they would pick up my case).
Good...
Anyone in similar situation
Please post if your AOS is pending for more than 12 months and have not received RFE. Also let us know if you have had a talk with your lawyer/iio and if you have any additional information on this.
Tired of this WAIT .... LOOOOOOOONG WAIT

Looks like only those cases which had RFE generated have been approved (recently).
Some one had posted earlier that if your AOS is pending for more than a year, then according to the standard procedure they send you a RFE for EVL. My case has been pending for around 16 months, but haven't...
Do we need to pay $120 again for iEAD
I read some posts, where they mentioned that they gave the local INS office a check of $120 when they went for iEAD. We already pay this amount when we apply for EAD, do we still need to pay them the second time for iEAD.
Thanks,

We're been Optimistic
Every time we see a approval, or hear some news, all we say is that we shall expect a flood of approval in future. This has never been true. I know being Optimist is the only thing we can do. But INS SUCKS and it SUCKS BAD.

Thanks rgk
Thanks for providing the link. Actually I already read most of the information on the web site. I really hope they get the visa the next time they apply.
