Al Southner/ Bobsmyth
This is to express my appreciation for the nice and assuring input and answers to all my questions on this forum.
I was an Asylee and now have my approval and Oath letter in hand despite the fears the IRS engraved in my heart.
The IO had the nicest personality and...
Bobsmyth,
I did not withhold information from the USCIS - The fact is that I was undergoing an Audit as of the date when I sent in my N400 application (Sept 2010) - The decision was not made yet by the IRS until a few weeks ago (Dec 2010) when they sent me an invoice - So technically, I did...
Taxes and naturalization
Bobsmyth,
I have my interview on the 5th and I'm nervous as hell because of my taxes.... I owe some money for 2005 and 2006 and have made a lump payment to reduce the balance and in addition, I just got the payment arrangement Letter/Form from IRS office this morning...
One final question....
Are the officers able to correct the choice you made on the application during the interview if you have proof or are they going to request further review based on any changes?
Al Southner,
I already made a payment of $11,700 out of $30,000 owed - which I believe is considered first payment and the next payment is not due until february. Called IRS this evening and spoke to a nice gentleman who was keen to help once I said "Naturalization". He faxed me the...
Al Southner,
I appreciate your input .
I have the invoices showing how much I owe.... I made the initial payment today and have the receipts to show (via email) - In addition, I got the IRS to mail out the payment plan today and hope to receive it before the interview (First Payments is not...
Thanks BigJoe5 for your prompt response - They claim to have put some documents in the mail that will reflect initial payment and payment plan - Hopefully I'll receive these documents before my interview in first week of January.
I had an IRS audit (for 2005 and 2006) pending as of the date I filed my N-400 application (September 2010).
In part 10 (question 5) of the n-400 application, the question asked if I owed any federal state of local taxes that were overdue, and I answered NO because the audit was not not...
Hi All,
My question is regarding the interview letter.
I noticed from several threads that the average time between the "Sent to Local Office" email notification and receiving actually interview letter is normally four days.
I got the notification on 26th November (8 days) and still haven't...
It's been 8 days since the status changed.
Maybe I'm just a little anxious, but I thought the status change online implies the interview letter was probably dated 2 days prior and should be here by now.
After Fingerprinting, I received a Yellow letter in the mail and then the online status changed to "Testing and Interview". I thought the interview letter normally arrives in the mail after the status change.
I just need to know what the average time is for getting the interview letter in the...

Fairlakes,
Hang in there buddy... I'm sure it's probably just as backed up in Texas as I have already reviewed the timeline with other applicants and the timing is off.
Fingers crossed and hope for the best. I wouldn't wait beyond the 120 days though.
