I had the same idea several months ago, I even read a posting at "www.immigration-law.com" indicating that INS policy allows that. I had my attorney call VSC to see if they allow "switching of I-140" and I was told they do not.

My I-485 is pending (RD 5/29, ND 8/7), EAD expires in 8/02, H-1b expires in mid 3/02. Does it make sense to renew H-1B in 3/02? Can H-1B be renewed after it\'s expired, say renew it in 8/02 if there is delay in I485 processing? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I noticed the A#\'s on my I485 receipt and EAD card are off by one digit. I assume the A# should be the same since one applicant should only get one A#. My husband\'s A# is consistent between the two documents. Did anybody experienced the same problem? Any consequences with two different A#\'s...
