Question re RFE\'s

I noticed the RFE\'s are mostly for paystubs, employment letters, medicals. Are these RFE\'s issued because paystubs, employment letters were not included in the original filing package? Or is INS looking for updated/current employment information to make sure the applicant is still employed? Thanks!

RFE: 11-06-01 (Just found out that they need 1.Employment letter
                                             2.Last 3 pay stubs.)

Anyone here that got laid off before 180 days after filing I-485 (receive date) and changed jobs using EAD ?

What kind of RFEs are being generated by the INS for such people??

AVM message post-RFE

Hi Can anyone post their AVM message after INS confirmed the receipt of response to RFE? Mine says it will still take 540 days to process after they received the response.

just wondering if that date is always the high end of your 485 processing time for everyone.

Response after RFE delays

I am on the same boat. It says "540 days" after receiving the response. ND:10/12/00. INS recvd the RFE on 11/09/01. I think, INS is not 100% satisfied with the response so we may get another RFE or they want to double check that. This GC process makes all of us mad.
