She only asked each of us birth date, date of marriage. She did not ask for originals of birth and marriage certificates, or Affidavit of Support. But I\'m sure you need original birth and marriage certificates for the interview.

HI, there. Yesterday afternoon all three of us got our stamps after 40 mins interview and 40 mins waiting for stamping. It was quick.
The officer had all our labor and I140. She basically went through each of our files and asked very few questions. The docs requested are
pay stub, H1-B...
Oct. 31, we received our interview notices for Dec. 4 interview. All three of us are scheduled the same afternoon, but 30 mins apart.

How to change status from H4 to H1 in a short time?
Did you go overseas and got stamped or did you file with INS? Now there is layoff risk for a lot of us.
Thanks.

I called NVA to check my I140 file. I entered my EAC number and heard that NVC was notified that I will adjust my status in the United
States and NVC will hold my file until INS office request for it.
A big relief. My I140 approval notice has something like my file was sent to NVC, blah, blah.
Mine is the same
I called my lawyer\'s office. They said it was standard for I140 approval. I140 should not be sent for CP if no foreign address is given.
Mine I140 approval has the same NVC thing but it did not say I140 was sent to a specific overseas consular.

It\'s easy.

Sorry to hear about the disappointing news. You should ask your parents back in China to take your HUKOU(household registration record) and go to a municipal notary agency. Just pay 200 Yuan. They will type out a notorized birth certificate with your parents\' name...

Hi, arajasthan. Do they give you a severance pay check? If it\'s sometime in Sept., maybe you still could get by. How about your vacation days? Could they give you a statement cashing all these days? Try your luck. If you start using EAD card for another company and show your new paystub...

I found the number on INS website...
I visited Baltimore office this morning to inquire about my 485 case. I was told that my case was received but not yet scheduled for interview.
The lady said usually interview is 60-120 days from the day they receive the case. She told other people earlier the same thing. Looks they
now try...
