    DV-2011 Winners Report Here!

Last years we used to ask for scans of the invitation letter and the envelope as a proof of such an early first NL. So, could you provide us with these scans? Thanks!

    marriage after immigrant visa given

Easily within year after you become a citizen. Marry her a month or so before you become a citizen. Then she will come to you with the fiancée visa within a year. You can and your GC won't be lost, but your wife won't be given any kind of non-immigrant visa before you become a citizen because...

    marriage after immigrant visa given

There is a 100% probability that they will think your marriage is a "green card marriage" and cancel your visa. You could have a chance, if you knew your girlfriend (and married her) before your interview and if you could prove this. But you met her after obtaining your visa => no chance...

the second notification letter does not arrive to me!!!

Excellent! A small victory before the final one! But February 16 was much in past... Do you mean April 16? If so, have a good interview! We here are waiting for your happy story.

the second notification letter does not arrive to me!!!

Right approach - to find out if they are going to accept that scan. Different consulates can accept/reject different sets of artifacts.

the second notification letter does not arrive to me!!!

Same was with me. I just called my consular center (in Warsaw), not KCC, and asked them to send me the scan by email. They sent it to me in a couple of hours. It was accepted as if it were an original.

Urgent Urgent Pls! Would smiling picture be disqualified?

I have to agree with you - I re-read the rules and haven't found about ears. But I do remember this requirement past years.

    fix the picture

If you are asking this question, you probably don't have any experience in fixing pictures. Therefore, you'd better consider paying to a specialist for doing this. In my country, such a specialist can be a public photographer. Just bring the instruction to him.

    How much money?

There is nothing about one person there. If I am a single DV2009 winner, how much money do I have to have? Thanks.

    Admin Processing Completed

Glad for you! Congratulation. Do you know, to the point, what caused that administrative processing of your case?

    2009 winner

There is no common opinion about this. The only thing I know for sure is that if you applied for the DV, you must answer yes for "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?": http://www.wolfsdorf.com/DVarticles/DV%202004%20Update.pdf You may also read...

    2009 winner

Yes, the second letter when your CN becomes current. The #1 requirement to that address is its reliability.

    2009 winner

I used my current home address. Some people, as I know, use their U.S. friends' or relatives' addresses if they think this will fasten the delivery of invitation to the interview or if they know mail service in their countries works bad.

    2009 winner

Both for you and your wife you have to fill in the same petitioner - a person the notification letter is addresssed to. Say, if you are a winner, then you are a petitioner both in your form and in that of your wife's. Address is the address where you want the invitation ot the interview - say...

    2009 winner

The name and address of the person the notification letter is addressed to - of the person for who you fill in DSP-122.

    Response from KCC

This is not enough. People normally want to know if there are no problems in their forms and if processing started or is to start soon.
  17. D

    2009 winner

It does have a negative effect, so, this MUST be resolved, otherwise, you are under the risk of not being invited for the interview at all. I think you have to re-fill in the forms and send them again to KCC enclosing a letter with your case number, name, date of birth, and explanation of the...

    2009 winner

If the notification letter is addressed to you, then both you and your dependants have to specify you as a petitioner. 4. If you don't have a SSN, you must apply for it.
  19. D

    2009 winner

Calrifying. If you are a single winner, then you are a petitioner. If you participated together with your family, the petitioner is a family member the notification letter is adressed to. Say, if it is addressed to your wife, then she is a petitioner; if it is addressed to you, then you are one.
