I have signed both full name and brief signature which I use everywhere, including NC. I traveled recently and did not have any problems.

To Banusiak: You should find it out at the info pass appointment. They have their schedule and list of those who attend oath ceremony, so they can put you on the day which is OK for you.

Yellow letter is a standard letter requesting for ID, which may be your DL. One comment: if you have moved while your DL shows your old address, you should take a white card at the DMV with your new address and bring it to the interview. I was asked for such card at the interview, and, luckily...
